World's Highest Marathon Film Premieres
The World's Highest Marathon, a Chrome documentary produced in partnership with BecomingX and Ford, premiered this weekend at The Big Thing festival in Montana - and is now live on Ford's channels.
Watch the film on Ford's YouTube channel here:
The World’s Highest Marathon follows an extraordinary expedition to Ojos del Salado, the world's highest volcano, where a team of runners, adventurers and support crew attempt to achieve something that has never been done before: complete a marathon at a record-breaking altitude.
Facing extreme conditions, unforgiving terrain and the physical effects of operating at high altitude the team must confront not only the mountain, but their own doubts, fears and limitations. As the challenge unfolds, every step becomes harder won, and the question remains: just how far can the human body and spirit be pushed?
Supporting the expedition is a fleet of Ford off-road vehicles, carrying people, equipment and supplies through one of the harshest environments on Earth and providing a vital lifeline in a landscape where conditions can change in an instant. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Atacama Desert, this is a story of ambition, resilience, teamwork and the pursuit of what might be possible when ordinary people take on an extraordinary challenge.
The expedition was led by BecomingX and documented by Chrome.
