Chrome Film Reveals New Ford Fathom™
Chrome has partnered
with Ford to reveal the Ford Fathom™, an all-new midsize electric truck
revealed through a hand-crafted 2D animated film. Created in a rich,
tactile illustration style, the film follows the rhythm of everyday life,
flipping through a series of heartwarming moments, journeys and locations, to
reveal the truck adapting to its owner's changing needs.
Seen from the unique perspective of the Fathom™️ itself, each flip of the page reveals another moment in the lives the vehicle helps to enrich. Moving seamlessly from city streets to weekend adventures, the animation brings Ford's vision of a more flexible, versatile electric vehicle to life, with each scene revealing another layer of the Fathom™ story. The film reflects the blueprint behind the vehicle's name: a deep understanding of a new generation of drivers and the many ways they live, work and explore.
This is a milestone moment for Ford: as the first vehicle built on their new Universal Electric Vehicle platform, Fathom™ signals a bold new chapter for electric mobility. Designed to deliver capability without compromise, it combines innovative technology, flexible utility and accessible EV ownership in a package built to support a wide range of modern lifestyles.
Made by a team of 20 animators across 8+ countries, the whole Chrome team is incredibly proud to have helped introduce it to the world for our longstanding partners at Ford.
