My Dad’s Truck Wins Gold at the 2026 Telly Awards
We’re proud to share that the documentary My Dad’s Truck, created in partnership with Ford Motor Company, has been awarded GOLD at the 47th Annual Telly Awards!
The short doc was honoured in the General Documentary (Film & Shorts) category, a field defined by powerful, craft-led nonfiction storytelling.

A huge congratulations to Karl Henkel, Tanya Moutzalias and Ian Cohen at Ford – this award represents their guidance and dedication to a project rooted in a profound, moving story of grief and healing.
At its heart, My Dad’s Truck is an intimate portrait of legacy and resilience. The film follows the deeply personal journey of Todd Leach to rediscover and restore his father’s lost truck - an object that becomes a conduit for memory, identity, and healing. The project also raises awareness for charity No Stomach For Cancer.
Beautifully directed by John Burton, elegantly shot by Cayne Tucker, and with a sterling production team led by Lauren C Brooks, the project reflects the kind of emotionally driven storytelling that continues to shape Chrome’s documentary output.
As Chrome continues to expand its branded entertainment slate, this award for My Dad’s Truck stands as an example of how brands like Ford can become an essential character in authentic, longer-form storytelling.
