Chrome Producing Official World's Deepest Marathon Documentary

What happens when you take 60 runners, a zinc mine 1,300m underground, and a film crew armed with specially adapted drones and thermal cameras?

You get the World's Deepest Marathon, two Guinness World Records, and Chrome bringing audiences the official behind-the-scenes documentary covering this momentous achievement.

On 25th Oct 2025, deep beneath Sweden’s Boliden Garpenberg mine, Chrome had the privilege of filming a truly extraordinary event with our long-time client BecomingX.

Runners, and our crew, endured 30 degree heat, 70% humidity & pitch black conditions, but what unfolded was a celebration of endurance, innovation and incredible human connection.

From seasoned athletes to first-time miners, everyone ran for purpose: to show what’s possible when people (and industries) push forward together.

A huge thank you to everyone involved, and to all our crew who made the impossible look effortless.

Special shout outs to Paul Gurney, Alexis Rose, Darcy Phillips and Rohitesh Dhawan for pulling off one of the most brilliantly bonkers events in history, not to mention the team at Boliden, who invited us into their mine, kept us safe, and went out of their way to give everyone involved an experience they'll never forget.

The official documentary is coming soon… and trust us, it’s one you’ll want to see.
