Christie’s’ auctions are global spectacles that receive major press coverage and interest, but the auction room itself is relatively exclusive with space for only a few hundred attendees. Chrome’s challenge was to transform the Christie’s auction into a global livestream event to invite viewers from around the world to watch and engage in a more immersive way. We welcomed guests both physical and online to a brand-new salesroom, with monumental LED screens highlighting global bidding, 11 cameras – 7 of them robotic – immersive new artwork presentations and a unique POV camera hidden behind the auctioneer to create the most innovative hybrid event ever.
