Chrome Productions Helps BecomingX Demystify Success and Help the Next Generation Build the Skills To Succeed

Bear Grylls and Paul Gurney launch BecomingX with 16 inspiring short films.

This week, Chrome Productions helped BecomingX, a new learning and development organisation, launch with aplomb. With the bold mission of creating a world where everyone can realise their potential, Chrome Productions worked with BecomingX Co-founders Bear Grylls and Paul Gurney to bring to life some of the stories and insights of some of the world’s most inspiring and iconic people, including Roger Federer, Julia Roberts and Dame Kelly Holmes.

“From the very outset, when we were approached by Paul, we knew this was going to be a special project to be involved with”, said Joel Mishcon, CEO Chrome Productions. “What the  BecomingX team have created is exceptional and it is a privilege to be the production partner of this important initiative, working across creative, production and post-production. We have been inspired at every stage of this journey and collectively, are immensely proud of what the project stands for, and the films we have created to date.”

Initially featuring 16 inspirational films and supported by extensive research, BecomingX sets out to educate, inspire and challenge the notion of what it means to be ‘successful’. Featuring the likes of Olympic Gold Medallists, Nobel Peace Prize winners and Oscar winners, Chrome helped BecomingX interview some of the world’s most famous and inspirational people, as well as lesser known people from some of the toughest backgrounds imaginable who have gone on to achieve extraordinary things.

“Chrome Productions have been absolute pleasure to work with from the start”, said Paul Gurney co-founder of BecomingX. “When we set out, people told us this would be impossible. We’re delighted to have truly world-class content that that brings our vision, mission and business to life. This would not have been possible without the help, patience and professionalism of Joel and his team at Chrome”.

The films form part of an extensive research effort to identify what it takes to succeed at the highest level. After two years of interviews and extensive research, BecomingX presents its findings on the personal attributes of world-class performers, providing an evidence-based model that defines the skills, knowledge, attitudes, and relationships needed to succeed. As well as highlighting the criticality of attributes such as ambition, discipline, and resilience, BecomingX also aims to challenge pervasive beliefs that outcomes are determined by ‘innate talent’, luck and academic performance.

At the heart of the campaign is an inspiring new campaign film, created and produced by Chrome Productions, celebrating Londoners and some of the exciting experiences waiting to be rediscovered across the city – from dining out and shopping to visiting attractions – the campaign will be brought to life across digital video, social media, print and out of home advertising, encouraging Londoners to share their London.

The new Campaign from London & Partners was conceived in collaboration with Adam&EveDDB and bought to life by Chrome productions. Because I’m a Londoner sets out to encourage Londoners to come out and enjoy the city they love. This unique campaign brings together hundreds of businesses and organisations to collectively build consumer confidence and encourage a responsible recovery in consumer spending.

“It has been an amazing ride to work with London & partners and Adam&EveDDB to help bring this campaign to life”, said Mark Wilson, Executive Producer. “Whilst is was a huge challenge for our team to work under such unique circumstances to bring this campaign to life, it has been inspiring to capture the spirit of London and everyone who lives here. We are incredibly proud to have been part of this campaign and of the work we have produced”.

Businesses and organisations across London including O2, L’Oreal, EY, Adam&EveDDB, Salesforce, The Crowne Estate, City of London Corporation, Grosvenor Estate, Shaftesbury PLC and the London Legacy Development Corporation have all rallied round to support and amplify the campaign and help London’s recovery.
